Christ Is Alive…So What?

| Jesus wasn’t the only person in history to claim to be God or to be the messiah. What distinguishes Jesus, then, from those other claimants to divinity or messiah-ship, such as Caesar Augustus or Simon Magnus? All of them died (including Jesus). But unlike Jesus, they all stayed dead – and so did their causes. Jesus, however, rose from the dead, and both he and his church live on. This week, we will be discussing both the challenging and wonderful ramifications of the awesome event of Jesus’ rising from the dead.
