Next STEPS on your journey of faith – Step 4 – Practice Prayer; Celebrate the Sacraments
This week, we continue our "Next STEPS" series, using our Next STEPS booklet as our itinerary and discipleship GPS. Next STEPS booklets are available in the pews, and everyone should take one for themselves, as we journey through the steps together, each week focusing on a different step. Through this series, we will discuss, in a practical way: what it means to put our faith in action, and what means - in a concrete way - to be a disciple of Christ.
Step 4 – Practice Prayer; Celebrate the Sacraments
Where is God Best Found?
As children, we’re often told that God is everywhere. While that’s definitely true – God is not limited by time or space like we are – it is also true that there are certain “places” we can go where we can be sure to have a profound and meaningful connection with Him. God makes himself most “accessible” in the following places: in the sacraments, in silence, in solitude, and in simplicity. This week’s homily will discuss how each of us can take the next step in our relationship with God by deepening our prayer lives, and a through a more conscious engagement in the sacraments.
