Proposed Memorial Wall
We are planning to create a Memorial Wall. A sacred space where we can name and honour our loved ones who have passed. The memorial wall will serve as a permanent tribute to the lives and legacies of our family members, friends, and parishioners who now rest in Christ’s peace.
The wall will be located in the new south Narthex across from the Parish Office and will be constructed using marble engravable plaques, with a beautiful backlit wooden cross. Each plaque will measure 4 by 6 inches and may include the name of your loved one along with their year of birth and passing. Families may also choose to honour a group name without dates, for example, “Deceased Members of the Smith Family.” Space on the wall is limited. Each plaque is available for a cost of $300 and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Dear Friends in Christ,
As we gather for this long-awaited grand opening, my heart is full of gratitude. This moment was shaped by prayer, patience, sacrifice, and trust. It belongs to our entire parish, and it reflects the ways God has guided us through every step of this work. First and above all, we give thanks to God. His grace carried us through delays, questions, and difficult decisions. Whenever the work felt heavy, He steadied us. Whenever plans shifted, He opened another path. These new spaces stand as a reminder that we never build alone. They are a gift, and we receive them with humility and joy.
To our committees: Building Committee, Feasibility Committee, Capital Campaign Committee, Finance Council, Parish Pastoral Council, thank you. You gave countless hours to planning, reviewing, organizing, and problem-solving. You kept the work moving and handled the details that most people will never see but that matter every day. Your dedication shaped the foundation of this project.
To our parishioners, thank you for your generosity. You gave because you believe in the future of this parish. You supported us not only through your contributions, but through your encouragement and patience. You prayed for this project, and those prayers strengthened us. You stayed hopeful even when progress felt slow. This building exists because you carried it with us. Thank you also for your trust.
To our parish staff, thank you for carrying the weight of daily parish life while also managing the added demands of this project. You kept ministries running, answered countless questions, and adapted to every change. Your work often happens quietly, but it holds everything together. I am deeply grateful for your support and care.
A project like this requires skilled hands and wise guidance. My sincere thanks go to Renokrew, our builder, and their staff. Their skill, professionalism, and patience helped bring this vision to life. They worked through challenges with calm determination and delivered work that speaks for itself. My thanks also to Larkin Architect, and their office. They listened closely, guided us thoughtfully, and shaped spaces that balance beauty with function. Their vision helped create a place that feels welcoming, prayerful, and ready to serve.
And my deepest gratitude goes to Nick Mensink, our engineer. His dedication, expertise, and leadership supported this project from start to finish. He offered clear advice during complex decisions and met challenges with steady confidence. His commitment gave us the assurance we needed to move forward.
We are honoured by the presence of His Eminence, Cardinal Leo, who has come to bless these new spaces. His blessing connects our parish to the wider Church and reminds us that we are part of something larger than ourselves. I’m grateful for his prayer, his encouragement, and his willingness to celebrate this milestone with us.
As we celebrate today, I hope we all see what this moment truly represents. These spaces are more than walls. They are places where faith will grow, where families will gather, and where our parish will continue to serve with hope. They are a sign of what we can accomplish together.
Thank you for your prayers, your generosity, and your belief in this parish. May God bless each one of you, and may these new spaces serve His work for many years to come.
With gratitude and prayer
Fr. László Nagy, Pastor

December 2024 Construction Update
Construction is progressing. Demolition has been completed throughout. In the
building expansion the foundation has been excavated, footings, walls and basement slab has been poured, and structural steel being erected. In the Rectory, partition walls are being built mechanical and electrical work has begun as well as duct work for heating and cooling systems.
Over the fall/winter/spring months, we are anticipating that the first, second floor and roof of the building expansion will formed and poured. Once the exterior walls are in place, the interior work can begin.
Over the past year a committee has been working to put forward recommendations surrounding the details of a Recognition Display to acknowledge those who have so generously donated to this project. Look for more details on this plan in the new
year.
A MESSAGE FROM FATHER LASZLO… December 1, 2024
Dear Parishioners of Holy Family,
As we approach this season of gratitude and generosity, I want to take a moment to thank you for the incredible ways you continue to support and strengthen our parish family. Together, we have built a vibrant community of faith where God’s love is shared, and lives are transformed.
As the year ends, we have an exciting opportunity to come together once again to invest in the future of our parish by supporting the Capital Campaign for the construction of our new atrium, offices, meeting rooms, etc. This project is not just about brick and mortar; it’s about building a space where faith will grow, relationships will deepen, and Christ’s mission will thrive for generations to come.
Why Your Support Matters
This construction project is designed to meet the needs of our growing parish. It will provide spaces where:
Families can gather for worship and fellowship.
Ministries can thrive, reaching out to those in need.
Future generations can encounter Christ in a welcoming environment.
This vision can only become a reality through your prayerful generosity. Every contribution, large or small, brings us closer to achieving this goal. Your gift is not just a donation—it’s an investment in the spiritual legacy of our parish.
How You Can Help
Pray: Ask the Lord how He is calling you to contribute to this mission.
Give: Make a one-time or recurring gift to our building project. You can donate online at ca/tithe-give/ or scan QR code below or in person at the parish office.
Share: Spread the word about our Capital Campaign. Encourage family, friends, & fellow parishioners to participate.
Our Goal
Our aim is to raise funds for our Capital Campaign. Reaching this milestone will allow us to take significant steps forward in making our vision a reality.
A Prayerful Reflection
As you consider your gift, I invite you to reflect on 2 Corinthians 9:7:
“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
Thank you for your faith, your prayers, and your generosity.
In Christ’s love and service,
Fr. László Nagy, Pastor
P.S. Be assured that every gift, no matter the size, is deeply appreciated. Let’s come together as a community of faith to build a brighter future!

Want to become an Ambassador?
Please let us know if you are interested in becoming an ambassador with the Living Our Faith, Building Our Future capital campaign. In this role, you will be trained on how to arrange and conduct the in-person visits and you will not be asking parishioners for money. Your job is to inform parishioners about the campaign and the building plans so that on their own they prayerfully consider a gift to the campaign. Please call the parish office at 905-665-6470.
