We believe God wants to have a personal relationship with His children.
To grow in our relationship with God, we strive to practice daily prayer and Scripture readings as well as develop other spiritual habits.
Prayer is an important part of Catholic worship as it provides the opportunity to communicate with God. The Catholic Catechism states,
Prayer is the raising of one’s heart and mind to God or the requesting of good things from God (Catholic Catechism 2259). This shows that prayer is considered a two-way process. Catholics pray to God to develop spiritually, and God has the power to answer prayers.
Spending time with God and reading His Word are foundations to a personal relationship with the Lord. Not sure how to start? Watch these videos to learn how you can pray using Lectio Divina, a dynamic method of praying with the Scriptures in the Catholic tradition. Using Lectio Divina helps you develop a more intimate and personal relationship with God that can change your life. The Daily Readings can be found by clicking here and also from our parish app (through the Myparish App) which can be downloaded to your mobile device. Click Here to download MyParish App.
